Tom's Bucket List... (OR... Things I'm gonna do before I kick the bucket)
Now, the thing is... I think everyone should have a 'bucket-list', and actively work on it. I actually began making mine BEFORE the movie came out. I used to have things on it like: "Star in a major motion picture" / "Climb Mount Everest" / "Go see Paris (Hilton)" / important things like that.
But, I've revised it over the years, hopefully into more reasonable pursuits.
Here are some of them, subject to occasional clearer thought, and spousal input. (By the way, do you "Get" this picture to the left?)
1. - Ride around the perimeter of America on a motorcycle
2. - Attend an "Indianapolis-500" car race
3. - Go for a hot-air baloon ride
4. - Take a ride in a sail-plane
5. - Climb Mt. Whitney (highest mountain in continental United States)
6. - Walk all (or part) of the Appalachian Trail
7. - Skydive (without the aid of a tandem-instructor)
8. - Bungee-jump (again)
9. - Fly an 'ultra-lite' airplane
10. - Visit our top-20 national parks, and stay overnight in each one.
11. - Spend a backpack-camping weekend at Yellow Stone Park
12. - Spend a backpack-camping weekend at Yosemite
13. - Hike, rappel, shoot the "subway" in Utah
14. - SCUBA-dive around parts of Hawaii
15. - Do the "Bicycle Ride Across America" ride
16. - Camp, hike, a good distance of the Grand Canyon
17. - Visit the meteor crater in Arizona
18. - Canoe some of the 'Boundary-waters" in Minnesota
19. - Spend some time at "Moma" (Museum of Modern Art in New York)
20. - Have a long cup of coffee in the old-market section of Seattle
21. - Have (a couple) beignets in Nawlins.
22. - Take a longish train ride
23. - Go for a longish sailboat ride, in the Pacific
24. - Go for an "indy-car" ride at the Las Vegas Speedway
25. - Go fly-fishing in Montana, especially on the Big Blackfoot River
