"Stuff 'n Junk"

The Cleaver Family (1957)
Do you remember the 60's TV show, "Leave it to Beaver?" - Remember June Cleaver hollering upstairs to her sons, Wally and "the Beav," asking them, "What are you boys doing up there?"
One or the other always said, "Aw, nothing mom... just 'stuff ' n junk'. I always liked that answer; it seemed to sum it up for me...So this area is for "Stuff 'n Junk", things I've run across that seemed interesting.

"For instance..."

Race-track Rocks
One of the more interesting things I've ever encountered are the "Race-Track Rocks" at Death Valley. First, Death Valley itself is remote and hard to get to, second, the "Race Track" is on an 'off-road', 29 miles from ANYTHING.
The 'Race-track' itself is a dry lake bed; and when you walk out on it, there are these HUGE, 'multi-hundred-pound' rocks. Tthe thing is... they leave a 'trail', kind of a 'wake' behind them. Now think about that... multi-hundred-pound rocks, 'moving' ON A DRY LAKE BED, as if they're bouyant. Howzzat work? Huh?
The truth is... no one knows. No one has ever seen the rocks in motion.
